OctoberA total of ten bidders has submitted the proposals. India based construction firm, Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) has submitted the lowest bid. Company submitted the price of SAR 338,500,000 (USD 90,266,666). The new OHTL will be installed on latticed steel tower in vertical configuration. The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new OHTL work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.

NovemberAl Yamamah Steel Industries Co. has been awarded a contract from Larsen & Toubro Saudi Arabia (LTSA) worth SAR 103.5 million. Under the first deal, the steel manufacturer will supply Larsen & Toubro Saudi Arabia with steel towers for the project to construct a 380 kV ultra-high-voltage line from ARAR station to RAFHA station. Contract is forecast to be inked on January 30, 2021. The steel manufacturer will deliver the required structures for the project as of May 2021 until July 2022.
