NovemberKnowledge Economic City’s (KEC) 80%-owned subsidiary Al-Gharra International for Real Estate Development Co. signed a deal with Hilton Worldwide to operate a 300-room hotel in Madinah Gate project. Under the 20-year agreement, Hilton’s DoubleTree will offer the engineering consultancy services required for the project design and execution. The new hotel will be operated and managed by DoubleTree. The deal value will be variable depending on the hotel operating income. The new hotel comes as part of Madinah Gate project, in which the first phase will be built on a total area of 37,000 square meters. The phase also comprises shops, restaurants, and an 18,000 square meter entertainment area. Madinah Gate will be connected to Al-Haramain Madinah train station. Hotel operator Hilton will provide technical consultancy, management and operation services for the new facility.
