Client has issued tenders for the 3 separate packages. Contractors who are learned to have submitted the bids for the EPC construction contract includes Japan’s JGC, Indian engineering giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Italy’s Saipem, UK-based Technip FMC and South Korean players including Hyundai E&C, Samsung E&C and GS Engineering & Construction Corporation. Other contractors such as China’s CPECC is also involved in the tender processes, potentially as sub-contractors. The EPC bids are likely to be submitted by the end of September and Aramco expects to select the main contractor either in December 2019 or early 2020.

Client has recently floated separate tenders for gas processing and utilities package of the gas plant. Bids are expected to be submitted in November 2019. The contractors expected to bid for the EPC contract include Hyundai E&C, Samsung E&C, Larsen & Toubro, Saipem SpA and Technip FMC.
The ITB for compression package is due to be offered. The project involves the construction of compression facilities within the planned unconventional gas plant in Jafura, Al Hasa, Saudi Arabia. The work scope for the compression package includes three grass-root gas compression plants, aimed at producing up to 600 MMcfd of gas, 150,000 barrels per day of condensate and NGL. 

The project is still in tender stage.
