Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to upgrade a residue facility.
Client has issued a tender for front-end engineering and design (FEED) works and invited companies to submit bids by 12 May 2020. The Saudi energy giant is understood to have issued the tender to firms in its General Engineering Services plus (GES+) pool. The GES+ grouping consists of seven foreign-local joint-venture entities:

The feed works call for provision of the following services:
Integration of the licensed technology units
Extended basic engineering packages
Integration of all PDPs in order to reach the overall feed of the project
Support Aramco on the development of EPC bid packages.
Client has extended the front-end engineering and design (FEED) tender closing date until May 31, 2020.
Client has invited solicited interest (SoI) from contractors to upgrade sulphur recovery units (SRUs). The project also calls for installation of a tail gas treatment unit and a sulphur degassing unit, along with building other utilities and associated facilities. It intends to meet environmental emissions regulations by modifying three of the SRUs at the Ras Tanura refinery – J-72, J-87 and PLT-048. Contractors invited have until 14 July 2020 to submit expressions of interest. Firms understood to have received the SoI include:
