JulySaudi-based construction firm, Shibh Al-Jazira Contracting Company (SAJCO), has been awarded the main contract on this project, worth $187 million. As part of the contract, SAJCO will build seven bridges and 45 km of road works. An estimated of 6.5 million cu.m earth excavation is required to perform for the above works. More than 80,000 cu.m of concrete will be utilized for the construction of bridges and associated structures. An asphalt of 1.2 million sq.m will be utilized for the road services.
