Badeel and ACWA Power have signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) with the client for the development and operation of the project. To be developed as a part of Saudi Arabia’s National Renewable Energy Program (NREP), the solar PV projects will be jointly owned by Badeel and ACWA Power.
Bureau Veritas, a world leader in testing, inspection and certification, has been awarded by Ishaa Energy Renewable Company, a company owned by ACWA Power and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), subsidiary Water and Electricity Holding Company (Badeel) to provide owner’s engineering services for this 1425 MWac solar PV power plant. The agreement covers design review, project management, off-site quality control and assurance, module testing, liaison engineering, construction QA/QC, construction management and commissioning management services.
