The Sports Boulevard has 8 diverse districts, each representing its individual design through pathways and trails, giving a unique experience.
Wadi Hanifah District:
It covers a distance of 29.5 km from Al Madina Al Munawwarah Road (south) to Al Olab Dam (north), passing through the Diriyah Gate.
Wadi Hanifah District features pedestrian paths, as well as horse-riding trails and routes for professional and amateur cyclists. It has 7 stations for cyclists that include rest areas and maintenance centers, in addition to various investment zones.
Arts District:
It covers a distance of 5.5 km, from the Diriyah region (west) to Suwaid bin Harthah Road (east), and includes a number of tracks and stops/stations.
Arts District features cultural, arts, and recreational activities, with paths and trails for pedestrians and cyclists. It includes green and open spaces, and a number of significant artworks, along with arts facilities, distinct areas for artists, workshops, and exhibitions, as well as areas open for private investment.
Wadi Alyasen District:
It covers a distance of 4.5 km, from Suwaid bin Harthah Road (west) to Ar Rub Al-Khali Road (east), including a water canal – the area is surrounded by land set out for private investment, as well as multiple paths and water facilities. Water is treated and pumped into the district to form new canals, fountains, canoeing canals, and landmarks. The area is surrounded by a number of lands set out for private investments.
It includes pathways for pedestrians and cyclists, and shaded play areas for kids, in addition to a water treatment facility.
Entertainment District:
It covers a distance of 3 km, from Ar Rub Al-Khali Road (west) to Abi Baker As Siddiq Road (east).
Entertainment District features a bridge for professional riders and a path for amateur cyclists. It includes an amphitheater, a complex for performances, and an open space. The district also features several hillside playgrounds and parks, and open spaces equipped with a cooling system for the summer season.
Athletics District:
It covers a distance of 4 km, from Abu Baker As Siddiq Road (west) to Airport Road (east). Athletics District includes a variety of sports facilities, along with a sports tower, surrounded by stadiums and training halls. It includes pedestrian and bicycle paths, and a professional path for cyclists, as well as cycling stations, in addition to resting areas and spaces for rent, along with spaces for investment.
Eco District:
It covers a distance of 15 km, from Airport Road (west) to Al Janadriyah Road (east).
Eco District features areas for cultivation, including a number of fields and greenhouses for seed development, agricultural products, and organic food production. It also includes open picnic spots, a culinary arts center, and pathways for professional and amateur cyclists, as well as 4 service stations, along with investment spaces.
Wadi Al Sulai District:
It covers a distance of 53km, from King Fahad Stadium (south) to King Salman Park in Banban (north).

Negotiations are under way for four packages related to the construction of Sports Boulevard project. The local Al-Bawani and France's Freyssinet are in discussions with client. Each package is comprised of two contracts. The first set covers construction at the Wadi Hanifah zones 1A and 1B.
Zone 1A covers a total section of 11.5 kilometres along the wadi, and includes cycle and pedestrian paths, and associated highway alterations along the section.
Zone 1B includes a section of 24km of paths along the wadi. Its tender includes new cycle and pedestrian paths, associated roadway changes and a park area.
The remaining two packages, named 2A and 2B, cover promenade and cycling bridge works. The promenade will be the first urban portion of Sports Boulevard and will serve as the gateway to Prince Mohammad bin Salman Road. The 2km boulevard includes a cycling and pedestrian bridge, as well as two cycle stations and a linear park spanning 38 metres. The cycling bridge includes the area west of the promenade including a segment of sidewalk to the north and a connection to the urban area on the southwest landing, among other components.
Freyssinet’s Saudi Arabian office is understood to have submitted bids for the packages for zones 2A and 2B.
