DecemberA total of ten bidders have submitted proposals for the main contract. Saudi based construction company Al Sharif Group for Contracting & Development has submitted the lowest price of SAR 42,696,600. The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new substation work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition. Contractor needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 26 months from Contract Signing Date.

MarchThe project has been awarded to Saudi based construction Company, Al Sharif Group for Contracting and Trading (ASG). The value of Signed Contract is SAR 42,609,562.

SeptemberConstruction works are currently in progress on this scheme. Project is expected to be completed in December 2021.
