OctoberSelected contractors have been invited to prequalify to tender for civil engineering works on this scheme.

OctoberSelected contractors have been invited to submit prequalification documents by 5 November 2020 for the construction of low viaducts and high bridges. The structures are part of the infrastructure backbone of the project. Contractors have already submitted prequalification documents for a cut and cover utility tunnel, tunnel access, drill and blast tunnels, and water reservoirs.

JanuaryThe client is expected to release the main construction tender by early March 2021. Apart from local companies, international contractors invited to submit prequalification documents included Hyundai Engineering & Construction, Larsen & Toubro, Itinera, Samsung C&T, Salini Impregilo, and FCC Construction. The scope of work includes the simple excavation of 48km tunnel section work, Cut and Cover Tunnel section work, Drill and Blast work, viaducts, security barriers, pedestrian walkways, infrastructure works, asphalt works and associated civil works. The project is scheduled for completion by December 2023.
